PM Kisan: OTP authentication for Aadhaar-based eKYC has been temporarily suspended.

The central government has extended the deadline for eligible farmers to complete obligatory eKYC under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi from March 31, 2022, to May 22, 2022.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Scheme is a Central Sector Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme that gives Rs 6,000 per year in financial assistance to all landholding farmer families across the country, subject to specific exclusion conditions.

The e-KYC option is no longer available on the PM Kisan portal after the extension. "eKYC is MANDATORY for PMKISAN Registered Farmers," according to the PM Kisan website. For biometric authentication, please contact the local CSC centre. The use of OTP authentication for Aadhar-based eKYC has been temporarily halted.

Using OTP authentication with Aadhaar, farmers would be unable to complete the eKYC requirement. For eKYC, they'll have to rely solely on biometric authentication. To receive the 11th instalment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, PM Kisan beneficiaries must complete the eKYC.

The recipient can complete eKYC offline by visiting a Common Service Center (CSC) with an Aadhaar card. Request the operator and explain that you want to finalise your biometric authentication and eKYC.

The money are deposited directly into the bank accounts of farmers who have been identified as beneficiaries by the state/UT governments. In three four-monthly instalments of Rs 2,000, a total of Rs 6,000 is delivered straight into the bank accounts of the farmers each year.
